Welcome to Quarter Mile Nubians
Dairy Goats
Nubians have been a passion
of mine since I first got them when I was 12. I first started
showing my herd when I was 15 and I've been hooked ever since.
Breeding high quality Nubians is
our herd goal. We try to keep our herd small and focus on herd
health, proper nutrition and excellent care. All of our kids are
pulled at birth and raised on a CAE prevention plan. We feed
heat-treated colostrum and pasteurized goat milk to all kids raised
on the farm. Our herd is CAE tested annually, free of CL and
we have recently started testing for G6S in our herd.
I am now sharing my love of my
Nubians with the second generation. My 12 year old son, Blane, and 5 year old
daughter, Londyn, are starting
their showing careers. We also have a new addition coming in
May so we will be making more cuts than normal in milkers, kids and
bucks!
Off the farm, I am a full time
dental hygienist. With a growing family, we still try to show at as
many shows as possible and attend the ADGA National Show whenever we
can. We were the exhibitor of the 2013 Nubian Junior Champion
doe!
